A. I am the founder of CL Bookkeeping and my passion is helping small businesses who
struggle with either getting started with organizing their business financial needs or have
started but are not sure they are “doing it right”. I initially meet with a prospective client
at their place of business if it is local to me, otherwise we can talk virtually, as to gain a
clear understanding of who they are and what their business is all about and what their
vision and needs are to grow and have their bookkeeping and record keeping align with
that vision. I customize how each clients’ accounting is handled based on their wants
and needs. Once I gain knowledge as to what the client is looking for and in what time
period, I will make a proposal of services and costs for the client. There is never a flat
rate or a minimum billing for time spent, the hours that I am working for that client is
what they pay and billed on a monthly basis.
A. Absolutely! If you are already comfortable with doing your own payroll and/or your HR
services, I will only focus on your accounting needs. A client can pick and choose what
they want to outsource to CL Bookkeeping and what they want to handle on their own.
Some clients have all of their bookkeeping and reporting, payroll, HR and other small
business needs outsourced, but others just need one piece of their puzzle handled and
then that is where we come in. We can handle all of your business needs or just a
piece...that decision is yours.
A. While it may seem daunting to you, we tackle your needs one step at a time. If you want to have CL Bookkeeping dive in and clean it up quickly, then we make a plan to get you there quickly but if finances are a concern and you only have several hours of disposable
income to spend on your bookkeeping needs each week, we make a plan to still get you to where you need to be...just a bit slower. The whole process is customized and catered
towards helping you achieve your goals, while getting your financial reporting and bookkeeping back to where it should be, for the financial health of your business. We
work within your budget!
A. At the end of the initial period of financial clean up, most clients want to continue to have us just maintain their books which is a minimal investment at that point, but if you want to handle things again on your own, I can be there to help make sure you know better
how to maintain your books. I can check in once a month to be sure you are not off track.
Again, I focus on the individual client and their individual needs.
A. I have been working with small businesses for the past 38 years. During this time, I
have gained a deep understanding of the specific financial challenges and requirements unique to small businesses like yours and the challenges they face trying to keep doing what they love and grow their business but still keep up with financial needs. I help the client focus on what they do best and I can help handle the rest.
A. I am proficient in QuickBooks online. I actively participate in ongoing training and stay updated with the latest developments in accounting software to ensure I can leverage
the best tools for your business. If you are actively using another software or are still
doing your accounting by hand, we will work together to see if that is still the best financial choice and best option for your accounting needs.
A. I take confidentiality seriously and understand the sensitivity of financial data. CL Financial implements strict security measures.
A. In the event of discrepancies, I conduct a thorough review, identify the root cause, and
implement corrective measures. To prevent errors, I follow a systematic double-check
process and use automation features in accounting software to reduce the risk of
manual mistakes.
